Sep 18, 2018 · The other option i have is to specify a DNS server but i am stuck here as i am not sure what is the IP i should use. The DNS server is running inside Fortigate itself. It is not a standalone DNS server. All my internal machine use their network's interface IP as the DNS server but i don't see an interface IP for SSL VPN.

It is not resolving its local hostname from server i.e (portalepd) , but other hostname and domain name is working fine. Because of that hostname -f is not working on server. When using Split Tunnels, only DNS requests that match the VPN DNS suffix search domains will use the VPN DNS servers. Requests to domains that do not match the VPN DNS suffixes go to the local (3G/WiFi connection) DNS servers. EXAMPLE: DNS suffix is set to example.com.
